Roof Replacement Project
Due to persistent vandalism to the existing glazed panels on this prominent and vital building, the Environment Agency required a permanent solution to remove the risk of falling glass and the potential harm to staff and the pumps/control systems below. This roof replacement required Tunbridge Wells roofers to remove the glazing and its support structure, install a new structural timber-framed deck, boarding and supporting steel and a new roof consisting of a two-layer felt membrane, along with a new roof access hatch, perimeter handrail and waterproofing of the existing exhaust systems. It was imperative that all of the roofing services were completed to schedule without any disruption to the vital operation of keeping the Thamesmead area flood free.
