Built-Up Felt Roofs

A recent project for EDF Energy at Bexleyheath involved IKO’s SafeStick self adhesive membrane, which has been developed with the knowledge and experience of the European IKO group of companies.

The Danosa POLYDAN® Self-adhesive systems are specially formulated polymer modified reinforced bitumen roofing sheets. POLYDAN® membranes are comprised of 3 key components: a polymer modified bitumen compound, a reinforcement layer and a variety of upper and lower surface finishes.

BRITISH BOARD OF AGRÉMENT (BBA) CERTIFIED

A full in-depth independent technical assessment of the POLYDAN® systems, including their manufacture, has been completed by the British Board of Agrément.

LONG LIFE EXPECTANCY

Independently assessed by the British Board of Agrément (BBA) to have a service life in excess of 30 years.

ROT PROOF / ROOT RESISTANT

Capsheet variant with anti-root modification is available for living roof systems, or where planting exists

HIGHLY FLEXIBLE

Manufactured with a strong polyester reinforcement, our POLYDAN® systems are designed to move and flex to accommodate building movement.

DURABLE

POLYDAN® systems are tough enough to withstand heavy loads. Combined with DANOPREN® XPS, the systems can accommodate point loads of up to 500 kPa.

DEGREE OF SELF HEALING

Our advanced elastomeric superior flexibility with up to 99% elastic recovery and self-healing properties.
